The Bradford Creative and Performing Arts Center will perform Rhythm of the Dance, National Dance Company of Ireland at the Bradford Area High School Auditorium on Monday March 21 at 7:30 p.m.

This incredible show creates a new era in Irish entertainment, containing a wealth of Irish talent, featuring world champion and Irish dancers, some of the best traditional musicians and singers who are enjoying great success everywhere. Combining traditional dance and music with the most modern stage technology, this two-hour dance and music show takes the audience on an exhilarating, thrilling and high-energy journey through time through the ages. It is internationally ranked as one of the most popular and best-attended Irish dance performances in the world, making it a hit with critics and audiences around the world. It has been seen by more than seven million people in several countries.

Originally created in 1998 as a three-week tour of the United States, this wonderful show continues to evolve, thanks to the constant pursuit of perfection by its director/producer, choreographer and composer to keep the show fresh and interesting so that the public who regularly attend the performances will always find new elements in the program.

“ROTD first appeared on the Bradford stage in March 2015 to near capacity audiences. When our agent Milt Orkin called and said they were coming to the area this year, we thought it would be a great show to bring back to the Twin Tiers after seven years. We hope people will remember their incredible performance and bring a friend this time to see this new and fresh take on an already fantastic show,” said BCPAC Executive Director Darren Litz. “People are going to love this show!” he said.

With a talented cast of young dancers, musicians and singers, featuring live performances from the entire cast, it’s a show that has received critical acclaim on four continents around the world. Now in its 22nd year of presenting the best of Irish dancing to the world, the show has undergone a process of renewal, reinvigorating the choreography and music to create an even more spectacular performance. Producer Kieran Cavanagh is very excited about the show’s updated format and hopes that Rhythm of the Dance will be a breath of fresh air in Irish dancing with this traditionally rooted and authentic production.

BCPAC will also honor Nanci Garris with the Jackie Award, Marilyn Horne Award for Excellence in the Creative and Performing Arts during this performance of Rhythm of the Dance, along with a light reception in the lobby.

BCPAC is offering a special 20% discount on tickets until March 18, when you purchase the spring series of all three shows – Rhythm of the Dance, Tussey Mountain (Bluegrass) and T.3, the Tenor Trio sensation from America’s Got Talent of last season.
