RSA Insurance and 123.ie strive to help people, businesses and society thrive

Ready to make a difference every day

To RSA Insurance Ireland and 123.ie our goal is to help people, businesses and society thrive in good times and be resilient in bad times.

It shapes how we operate as a company as we strive to create a more diverse, fair and inclusive workplace; offer a Net-Zero business model; and help the communities in which we operate overcome adversity

A DIVERSIFIED AND INCLUSIVE WORKPLACE

We collaborated with TCP ID – Trinity College Center for People with Developmental Disabilities. The Center offers people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in a higher education program designed to enhance their ability to participate fully in society as independent adults. We provided work placement and internship experience, as well as several workshops for students on interview skills, resume writing, and LinkedIn profile development.

We participate in Business in the Community Ireland’s (BITCI) EPIC program. This program aims to provide training and employment to people from immigrant communities. We have already interviewed and hired program participants and are committed to hiring more. We were also delighted to host a workshop for attendees in June, which included a workshop for job seekers, an office tour and a networking opportunity.

As one of the 52 companies to have signed the BITCI agreements Elevate engagement, we show an additional commitment to building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. Our participation in the engagement also supports the creation of a baseline that will help our company further improve our own practices and directly reflect the customers we serve.

We were delighted to be able to co-sponsor this year’s annual Dublin Front-Runner Pride Race in Phoenix Park. We had a brilliant team from our office who ran, ran and ran the five mile track in support of brilliant charities – ARC – cancer support charity, Gay Health Network, LINC (advocating for lesbian and bisexual women) . We proudly marched Pride of Dublinin sustainable, organic t-shirts from Human Collective, with donations from every purchase going to Sport Against Racism in Ireland, LGBT Ireland and the Irish Youth Foundation.

Working in our communities

We are proud to be a charitable partner of Barnardo’s Ireland and Barnardo’s Northern Ireland. How we help the communities in which we operate is critical to achieving our purpose. In April, our people walked over 10,000 miles to raise funds to mark the charity’s 60th anniversary, and we matched our people’s contributions.

We registered to volunteer in BITCI It’s time to read and It’s time to count programs from September. Volunteers from our company will spend time helping school children in our Dundrum and Galway communities with maths and numeracy, as well as reading. At the end of the cycle, we will invite the children to our offices for a tour, a little celebration and to ask questions of people around our company.

We are signatories of the BITCI’s Low carbon commitment. As a signatory and Ireland’s leading insurer of wind energy, we publicly commit to setting science-based carbon reduction targets by 2024. We have developed a Vulnerable Customer Framework to support vulnerable customers throughout throughout their lifecycle with us, from the products we design and market, to how we interact with customers, train our employees and better understand customer needs.
