East Belfast Surgery GP Greenway Practice named Northern Ireland GP Practice of the Year 2021


An East Belfast GP surgery that has been described as a ‘lifeline’ for its patients has received the Northern Ireland GP Practice Award of the Year 2021.

Greenway Practice, located just off Upper Newtownards Road, has won the prestigious award from the Royal College of General Practitioners, which represents over 1,500 general practitioners across Northern Ireland after being nominated and judged by patients.

The award recognizes the exceptional care that general practitioners and their practice teams provide to their local community. In a year that has been difficult for everyone, this recognition has been extremely well received.

One patient who nominated Greenway Practice for the award said GP surgery has proven to be an “important lifeline” for his family over the years, especially when it comes to taking care of him. elderly and disabled parents.

They praised the front desk staff for the way they deal with difficult situations, noting that “the practice just could not work without them” as they are able to respond to every request “in a helpful, caring and helpful manner. understanding “.

“We are especially proud to have continued with face-to-face appointments when clinically appropriate and we know this has been appreciated. Seeing our efforts recognized through this patient-named award has given us all a huge boost. “
