A south Dublin pub was set on fire in an arson attack inside the premises in front of a large group of customers who were socializing on the premises.
he shocking incident took place at the Lough Inn pub in Loughlinstown in the early hours of the morning in front of a large group of revelers, including a bachelorette party.
No one was injured in the incident, but a fire damaged the public house. A video of the aftermath of the incident is circulating on social media.
It is understood that a man entered the pub and threw the Molotov cocktail near the bar before fleeing. Gardaí has been called and an investigation is underway.
Gardaí confirmed they were investigating the incident when contacted.
A garda spokeswoman said: ‘Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage by fire at licensed premises in Loughlinstown, Dublin shortly after midnight on Saturday June 18. Damage has been caused to the property and investigations are ongoing.”
A DJ playing at the pub posted on social media about the incident, saying: “Gigging away, happy in Loughlinstown, a big hen night on. A guy comes running in and throws a Molotov cocktail at the bar.
