Are you an experienced supply specialist looking to have a significant impact on emergency health response?
UK-Med is a humanitarian NGO that has been responding to disasters for over thirty years. We prepare and equip medical teams, both in the UK and around the world, to be ready to respond to disease outbreaks, conflicts and natural disasters. When Ebola hit West Africa in 2014, we recruited and trained British doctors and nurses who helped local medical teams and other NGOs bring the outbreak under control. We are key partners, providing the clinical component of the UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT) to WHO standards.
We are recruiting a Category Manager/Senior Buyer to undertake a number of tender exercises. You will lead the establishment of multi-year contracts or frameworks for the organization’s critical goods and services in various categories.
As Category Manager/Senior Buyer, you will liaise with internal stakeholders and ensure appropriately detailed specifications, donor compliant bidding process and strong contracting. You will bring significant relevant sourcing expertise, either from a significant period of work in the sector (expected at least 5 years) or a combination of a relevant qualification.
